Why we now handle our own deliveries!
In the past, we would book runs with a third-party leaflet distributor. However, we found that we were not receiving the expected level of service.
Issues we constantly faced when booking deliveries included:
- There were no walkers available to undertake the booked route. The distributor would accept payment, but on many occasions, there were no walkers assigned to the run. Most times, we observed that 30% to 50% of the area had no allocated walker. No refund was ever given and flyers were never returned.
- The flyers that were distributed were often bundled among vast amounts of catalogues, making it nearly impossible for residents to notice the flyer.
- The walkers employed were paid so poorly that they did not adhere to proper procedures. Many times, we received reports of flyers being dumped and roads skipped.
- Reporting of walker routes was vague, with no GPS tracking available.
- The delivery company would often hide behind terms and conditions.
